What is Peer Support?

When people with shared common ground of event or situation offer each other understanding, encouragement and support through a difficult period.

How does it work?

Our trained Peer Facilitators will help process the meetings, so as to include as many people and topics within the scheduled meeting time as possible.  Each person is given an opportunity to share in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment.

The connection of relating as equals with shared experiences, greatly removes the barriers and stigma that surround maternal mental illness.
